Show Notes

In this Tailgate Beers episode at Tailgates N' Tallboys in Bloomington, Nicky T and Matt from Raised Rowdy talk about becoming the festival’s official hosts, building a community-driven brand in country music, and grinding through a packed summer of events and festivals. They reflect on watching artists like Josh Ross rise, spotlight emerging talent they believe in, and emphasize that the artists who succeed are the ones who outwork everyone else. The conversation mixes industry insight with plenty of festival chaos, merch talk, and stories that capture the rowdy, family-style culture surrounding the event.

[00:00:22] Speaker A: Hey, Ryan, Tailgate beers here. [00:00:23] Speaker B: Hey, we're sitting here. [00:00:25] Speaker A: Day was it. Day three now. Day three, day three of tailgating tall boys. Bloomington, Illinois. Our great friends here, Nikki T, Matt Burrell are here from Raised Rowdy. They're joining Austin and I on our set. What a few days. What a couple of weeks it's been, right? [00:00:39] Speaker C: Bro, this. This stretch of TNT season. It's like a summer camp thing, you know, where it's like, you get to see everybody from the previous year and the community that you guys have built around this thing. And, bro, last year was fun. This year, Bloomington, last week was fun. Oh, my Lord. [00:00:57] Speaker B: Wild. [00:00:58] Speaker A: I've been walking around the campground, talking to folks and doing some. Some quick interviews and stuff. I mean, just. Everybody's just having a good time. I mean, it poured here last night. Oh, yeah, it poured here. [00:01:07] Speaker B: I was a literal trash bag. I was inside of a black trash bag. [00:01:12] Speaker D: I walked by over the top of the head, just his head sticking out. No, it didn't. It was supposed to be just a drizzle, but, man, it just didn't stop for about an hour. [00:01:23] Speaker C: No, no, but you know what? Hardy played through it. Treaty Oak played through it. Just the. The rowdiness. We knew it was going to be loud and it was gonna be crazy, but I. I didn't know it would be like that rowdy, even. One of my favorite moments was Lakeview on the side stage yesterday. Like, that was. And we got to watch that together. Austin and with Nick, like, that was incredible. [00:01:41] Speaker D: Yeah, that one's personal in the way of, like, family starting at cruise ins, going to the side stage a couple years ago, having, like 30 people seeing it out there to just owning that side stage. That thing was packed. [00:01:54] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [00:01:55] Speaker D: Great, great time. Good dudes work their ass off, and, yeah, we love seeing it again. Sterling's warming up now. [00:02:01] Speaker C: Yep. [00:02:02] Speaker D: You know, doing sound check. And that's another one where, again, he's gonna join the pod today. Yeah, you know, part of the rage Rowdy, you know, cruising Tailgate family. [00:02:11] Speaker B: We love them, honestly. It's funny, too, when you see the rain, because the fans don't care. They're here for the music. [00:02:18] Speaker D: And I saw just a stream of people pouring out, and I thought, God, this is gonna suck. [00:02:23] Speaker C: Who? [00:02:23] Speaker D: This is just gonna be bare out there. [00:02:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:02:25] Speaker D: And then I get in, I'm like, holy shit. How is there still this many people inside? How many people were inside? And so I think. I don't know what the exact number was, but I want to say it was around 20,000 last night. [00:02:35] Speaker A: So I was looking through pictures on socials today, and you can just see on there. I mean, people just embraced it. They were soaking wet. Nothing else left to do but just to party and have a good time. Hey. And they enjoyed it. [00:02:46] Speaker B: Tastes better when you're cold. [00:02:47] Speaker D: Hey. I mean, Nick, Nikki. The joke's been. And Nikki's been living it up. Every time I see him, he's having a good time. Everybody else, Mike stole's. He was having a blast side stage, and seems like he's probably. I think he's been busier than just about any other. Yeah, we've had. I mean, you got him a nice setup. [00:03:04] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, you look at who played the first two days, there's not an artist that played that doesn't have tattoos, and the crews don't have tattoos. So Mike's been. Yeah, Mike's been busy. I know today he's gonna be going around doing some content, coming over here, hanging with you guys, which will be awesome. [00:03:17] Speaker D: We got it. We got to get tattoos. I'm. I'm dead set today or tomorrow. [00:03:21] Speaker A: I'm with you. [00:03:21] Speaker B: Set it up. [00:03:22] Speaker A: Don't leave me out of that. [00:03:23] Speaker D: I haven't really thought of what it's going to be yet, but I'll make [00:03:26] Speaker A: something up on the fly. So you guys are the official host of Tailgate and Tall Boys? [00:03:30] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:03:31] Speaker A: So you're on the poster, everything. You're doing the intros and outros on stage. You got a. You got a tent set up over there. You got a whole crew with you here this week? [00:03:40] Speaker C: Yeah, man. It's wild. Thinking back to a few years ago, when we get connected to Austin, we get connected through Cliffy. And I had known I'd gotten to. Been blessed to be able to do a show at Cruisins earlier, back when I was out with Trey Lewis a few years back. But I remember the first year we came here, we had, funny enough, like, Max King, who's now McAde's guitar player and tour manager. We had Cali Prince, who's a prolific songwriter and artist, and we brought them up here, and we were over there in that campground, and we were set up. I remember we got here that first night. [00:04:11] Speaker D: We stayed up by the dumpsters, right? [00:04:12] Speaker C: And then we. And then Austin was like, where are we going to set up your merch? We set it up right by the porta Potties. Like, we were just like this. But we were like, this is awesome. The culture. This is great. That was back when the side stage Was like they had the late night tent party going on. It's a different thing. And then coming last year and getting to hit the trifecta of Clinton, Midland and Bloomington. And now to be as involved and have our name on the flyer and getting the sell out of artist merch and getting to have random people that are from here in Illinois come up to me like, what's up, Matt? Like, it's. It's so cool. And the fact that there's so many guys and girls that we've gotten to watch grow as artists playing the side and the main stage, it just makes it awesome. [00:04:49] Speaker D: And that was a fun year. Only because it was last minute, in a way. [00:04:53] Speaker B: Yes. [00:04:53] Speaker D: I was still trying to figure out what this looks like. We had a host at that point and you guys just adapted. You didn't get the red carpet necessarily rolled out for you. [00:05:04] Speaker C: We don't need it. [00:05:04] Speaker D: You did a popped up and I'm like, this could work. This could work. This could be something good. And now, I mean, I think we still try to do our best to co brand that family is. It's such a small world. [00:05:14] Speaker C: It is. [00:05:14] Speaker A: So I will say from a host perspective, and we alluded to it, but he didn't go by in the name. So Trailer Park Tammy was. Was the host before you guys. I thought I'd see more like topless calendars from you guys, stuff like that, you know, that I did. [00:05:27] Speaker C: I did take. My last night was the most Gavin Adcock I've ever felt. I was shirtless on stage. There were some people yelling at me because they wanted Trio to keep playing. We got our friends from Country Financial up there. They held up their check that they were donating to the Farm Bureau, and Nikki threw out a poncho, which was awesome. To the VIP people that probably didn't need the poncho, but it was still fun. Details, details. But I was up there with. Talking on the mic and I got hit with the beer as I was talking. I'm like, I'm shirtless in front of like 20,000 people. This is how Gavin Adcock must feel. I took the butch light and tossed it right back out. But it's. It's been no shirtless calendars, but I have taken my shirt off on multiple occasions at this point. [00:06:06] Speaker B: Good for you. [00:06:06] Speaker A: Good for you. [00:06:08] Speaker D: What did you guys. The feeling of Clinton last week, you know, recap of that. I mean, who I. [00:06:13] Speaker C: Who did you. [00:06:14] Speaker D: Who did you see before? [00:06:15] Speaker B: We got to see Whiskey Myers, like, side stage, and I was like, I was like, pinch me, you know, that's. That stage there too. It just feels like homey almost. So being side stage for them was insane. I mean, honestly, I love Clinton. That backstage area with the freaking pool, it's just such a great vibe. [00:06:36] Speaker C: Shout out to Mayor Scott. Yeah, yeah. He came right up. He was hanging out at our Surfside Vibes tent. Yes. On stage. The party station vibes always. But yeah, man, I mean, and getting to see like the old 60 guys. I know Nick's got the hat on, I got the shirt on. We love those kids. They're like, like brothers to us. And watching Gavin and watching Lily Rose and Dylan Schneider and the crews of guys that, like, Nick Gorman, Dylan's tour manager, used to work with me and Trey. Like you, it's like family where you see everybody but Clinton. It's just those people. Whether it's like the folks hanging out Wild Rose or it's the folks hanging out on site and stuff, they just, they appreciate it so much. It's the biggest thing that happens in that small town all year long. [00:07:15] Speaker D: I know. And I want to see how success. That's the part that gets me is it's such a great setting. That rain definitely. I mean, two back to back weekends with some rain and mud, but that setting is so great. [00:07:26] Speaker C: I just. [00:07:26] Speaker D: I want to see have success. It's just been a struggle, it seems like, to. To kind of keep building that over there in Iowa. But the mayor's. I mean, it's his dream. He's the one that wanted it to happen and brought it to the city. [00:07:37] Speaker C: And he's just a regular dude. Like, he is not awesome guy. He's like, I don't claim a party. I don't. I. I'm just. I'm just trying to do the best for my town in the city that I'm passionate about. What you respect. [00:07:48] Speaker B: Absolutely love it. That's literally what it's all about. I remember, like, seeing about tailgate and tall boys in the local newspaper, and I'm like, that's it. You know, the girl with the pick said, pick me a picture of that in the freaking newspaper. Just that's what it's all about, man. It's about the fans. They love country music so much that they will sit through the rain, they will sit through the sun, they'll get sunburnt, they'll get hungover, and they'll come back the next day, baby. [00:08:16] Speaker A: Yeah, dude, Surfside's got real vodka, real iced tea, and real lemonade. You know what's not Real that excuse you gave to skip the tailgate, grab a surfside and redeem yourself, champ. Now back to your regular programming. So I want to talk about your guys's grind a little bit too, because you guys are. Are doing TAKEOVER events in between tailgate and tall boys in between. Like Sunday night, you guys were back in Nashville. [00:08:41] Speaker C: Yeah, since we've been up here, I hosted. We got. So we got back from Clinton on Sunday. Who hosted Sunday night for us? Dylan. Dylan Wolf. Our buddy Dylan Wolfe, fun songwriter. You can see we had a video do well with him where John Daly hopped up. Uncle John hopped up and saying knocking on heaven's door with him. Dylan's a all time degenerate. Great dude, great entertainer. So Dylan hosted Sunday night, then I hosted Tuesday night. We loaded our trailer Tuesday morning and then we left Wednesday morning. Our buddy Bryson Cooper, Indiana boy, hosted Wednesday night. And then our buddy Luke Levinson is hosting tomorrow night while Nick and I are driving back while we're here, and then we're driving back Monday. [00:09:18] Speaker B: We got a good crew. [00:09:19] Speaker C: Yeah, we're averaging like anywhere from like 10 to 12 events right now a month, which is a lot. We just had the Also before Clinton. I'm happy my voice is holding up. I'm learning I don't have to scream like a banshee up there, which is great. And these. These teas shout out to everybody in catering and hospitality with these teas. But we hosted the losers parking lot parties for CMA Fest as well. Well, which was awesome. It was crazy. The stage was Brandon raised Rowdy, which was very for us. And we got to have like Lee Bryce was that played one of the nights. Well, it's Rodney Atkins. Riley hopped up a couple times. Kid Rock hopped up while we were up. While we were up on. Because we wanted to come up Wednesday to watch Lakeview at the Casino. You know, like the Casino night is what kicks off Clinton. You gotta be at the wild party at Wild Rose, man. That's what kicks it off. So yeah, man. I mean, the grind's been going. The podcast, we've kind of hit a little bit of like a lull. We're gonna get back to doing the two episodes a week here soon. Just because when you're out of town, it's like, I just got married. Shout out to Ike and Ashlyn Everard. So I got married and he wasn't with us in Clinton because he was on his honeymoon. So we got him back this week and he's killing it. Bonner did a great job last week. But, yeah, dude, it's a lot. And then maintaining the merch, too. Figuring out, like, the rest of the. Of the summer. [00:10:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:36] Speaker B: Trying not to die from drinking too many surfsides. [00:10:38] Speaker D: What's been the big seller in merch for you guys? [00:10:40] Speaker C: Big seller merch. We got this new. Obviously, these guys Old Faithful has been great. The old school camo script hats. These two tones have been doing really well. We have the new, like, women's tank. It's like, our first, like, sexy shirt that we've ever had for the girls. And then the. That new. What is it? [00:10:55] Speaker D: The. [00:10:55] Speaker C: The patch trucker. [00:10:57] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. The new black patch hat that we had. The flat rim. [00:11:00] Speaker A: This is. This is the one I love, dude. [00:11:01] Speaker B: I love it. [00:11:03] Speaker C: Oh, that golf hat. We'll get you some. [00:11:04] Speaker D: Dude, it's just such. And the part that I love it, I don't know a hat that I've ever been on a five, but it's, like, a nice little stretch to it. [00:11:12] Speaker C: Oh, they're great for the golf course, great for the boat, great for. Great for the festival. [00:11:15] Speaker B: They're great for the tailgate. [00:11:16] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah. [00:11:18] Speaker A: So you guys do other festivals, too? [00:11:20] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:20] Speaker A: You guys got other festivals coming up here soon? [00:11:22] Speaker B: Yeah, we're going to be a country concert in Fort Laramie, Ohio, which is kind of like where Ray's rowdy started. Like, my crew of idiot friends, we had a group chat called the Rowdy Gentlemen of Leisure. That's, like, where we got raised rowdy from was like, rowdy. You know, we're like, I want to keep the rowdy part. So, yeah. Very excited about that. That'll be my 13th year at that festival. [00:11:42] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:43] Speaker B: Which is wild. And, yeah, we're excited to be back there. We're having, I mean, rage rowdy camper party there. So it's like, like Old 60 Lakeview, Colby Acuff and Shelby Ray are playing, [00:11:57] Speaker C: which is gonna be sick. They're all, like, four people that. We've gotten the watch. I've gotten the watch early and that are people that are, like, close to us. Like, Shelby's like a. Like a niece or a daughter to Nick. Like, it's cool that Lakeview, the boys are like our brothers, the old 60 guys. Colby, like, it's. It's cool. And then we've got some other stuff in the works that isn't announced yet. But it looks like we'll be coming up to you guys in August for a new concept that we're trying. We've done rowdy on the road before where it's been more of like a content grab, but looks like we're going to start taking kids from playing the bars in Nashville out on the road and be kind of. I'll be getting back, put my tour manager hat back on and yeah, it looks like we'll be coming up to you guys in August, so we'll have details on that soon. We're doing an event in Minnesota where we're actually opening for Josh Ross. It's like Ray's Rowdy's opening for Josh Ross with some of the kids that are coming up in the scene. We'll be at Cruisins the night before. It sounds like I love that and [00:12:49] Speaker A: I pay very close attention. Austin knows this about me too. So you guys have your TAKEOVER events and of all the riders rounds and all of that. And as soon as I see, you know, your list of names that's playing that night or played the night before, I go and immediately I follow all of them. [00:13:05] Speaker C: Well, we appreciate that. [00:13:06] Speaker A: And just going out and trying to get used to seeing some of their names and it's actually fun. Now we've been doing this for eight, nine months. And even those eight, nine months, there's a few names that have, you know, starting to catch on already in those eight or nine months from the first time we saw you guys or the first time I saw you in Nashville. [00:13:21] Speaker B: Anyway, it's so crazy. And like, for example, like Colton Dawson that popped up last night during Hardy set. [00:13:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:27] Speaker B: Like, played his first Nashville event with us, which is freaking crazy. [00:13:31] Speaker C: That kid. That kid's become like a little brother. He texted me after he was like, that was insane. He texted me right after it, man. Yeah, that kid's awesome. [00:13:39] Speaker B: So it's just, man, it as a guy that literally was 35 before he started Ray, and was just a dude that loved music, just the amount of pinch me moments I get to have now is wild. Just. Just getting to be a little tiny part of this thing that we all love so much is insane. [00:13:57] Speaker D: What. What artists are coming up right now that maybe are here, aren't here, that you guys are like, we got one [00:14:05] Speaker B: selling merch for us. [00:14:06] Speaker C: Kinsley. Yeah, Kinsley, who's selling merch, has one of the best voices I've ever heard, I think we've ever heard. Yeah. [00:14:12] Speaker B: Wildly talented and 21 years old, and [00:14:14] Speaker C: she's up here having the time of her life. She's like, I will come and do this anytime. Like, no, Kinsley, you're gonna be here playing very soon. Like, you're gonna be Here. And we're gonna be watching. I'm gonna be int on this stage soon. You're not going to be selling merch for us, but Kinsley's awesome. There's this band called Dasher. That's really good. Yeah, that's like. It's like a Flatland Cavalry meets a Mumford and Sons meets the Shane Smith and the Saints. [00:14:42] Speaker B: They're. [00:14:43] Speaker C: They're awesome. I love the tailgates, man. They're so much fun. Everybody riding around their bikes and stuff. But yeah, man, I mean, there's so many. Shelby Ray. [00:14:50] Speaker B: Yeah, Shelby again, One of the most talented vocalists you've ever heard. Like, wildly talented. There is a crop of young females in Nashville right now, just wildly talented. [00:15:04] Speaker C: El Presidente. [00:15:07] Speaker B: It's a. It's super cool, too, to watch people get better. Right? Like, watch someone go from being very good to like, oh, they got it now. Like, the Lakeview Boys live show is so electric now. Just getting to watch that change in the last two years. [00:15:22] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:15:23] Speaker B: From when it, like, they were figuring it out. How much rock do we want to be? How much country do we need? You know what I mean? Like, what's the breakdowns look like? And now freaking Luke's singing almost the whole show. He doesn't even play that much guitar anymore. Yeah, like, he's out there. [00:15:37] Speaker D: I don't think he even plays the guitar anymore. [00:15:38] Speaker B: Yeah, it's crazy. [00:15:41] Speaker D: And they're also just sticking to their own thing. Kind of like OL60. Kind of like some of the other people that are saying, hey, we're just. We're just gonna do whatever this. I don't even know. I think old 60s one says, we don't even know what genre necessarily. We love that we're in country. [00:15:53] Speaker C: But their slogan's always been not your father's country band. [00:15:57] Speaker A: We had Fox and VEED on yesterday. [00:15:59] Speaker C: We love those kids, man. [00:16:01] Speaker A: And we gave them a shout out. You guys a shout out on there too. Because I remember. I don't know how long it was. Six months ago, I think. Matt, you sent Austin and I one of their songs and. And that's what introduced us to them. Or me, anyway. [00:16:12] Speaker B: I don't know. [00:16:12] Speaker A: You might have heard them before, but. But such good guys, all four of them. There are six of them. Six of us standing here. [00:16:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:16:18] Speaker A: Had a good time with them. [00:16:19] Speaker D: Not sure how that's gonna turn out, but we're all, like, talking into every mic. [00:16:23] Speaker A: I had to lean over at one point. Just turn it all the way up. [00:16:27] Speaker C: You guys have done such A great job of like, a showcase of what's in the future and what's the modern, like, what's going on right now. You have legends on here, like, people like Kip Moore. People are gonna be going crazy for him today, but like, a look at like a fox indeed. Cole Goodwin. Cole is having a moment right now. It's so cool to see him on the side stage. You got Sterling McCoy Moore. That was McCoy's first festival crushed yesterday. [00:16:50] Speaker B: Crushed. [00:16:51] Speaker C: Tell them how you first met McCoy. [00:16:53] Speaker B: Oh, I met McCoy in a Luke Combs Facebook fan club page when he was 17 years old. [00:16:59] Speaker A: Did you swipe right? [00:17:00] Speaker B: No. He didn't even have a beard then, bro. He could have probably, but yeah. One of the first raised rowdy hats that ever existed. Rowdy Rob gave to McCoy. [00:17:12] Speaker D: Wow. [00:17:13] Speaker B: Yeah, so he's been a raised rowdy kid before. I knew him in person and then he moved to town and just watching him go from being a great kid that did music to writing incredible songs to now that fucking butter voice that he has on stage just straight down the center. Good cold beer country music, dude. I love it. He's a fantastic writer too, over at Smack and now he's with Sony for records and track management. [00:17:38] Speaker C: Yeah, he's got Tracker helping him out. Like, that's literally. [00:17:41] Speaker D: Yeah, we're gonna get him on the podcast yesterday didn't really work out, but we'll get him on here. [00:17:45] Speaker C: He'll be. He'll be playing at Cruisins at some point. Yeah, I predict that in the future. [00:17:50] Speaker D: I knew people had hype about Hudson. [00:17:55] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:17:55] Speaker D: Oh, bro, he crushed it. [00:17:57] Speaker C: That kid's gonna be. That kid's playing arenas in Texas in the world Fall. [00:18:00] Speaker D: Because I can't say that I'm like cranking Hudson Westbrook music by any means, but that show is nuts. [00:18:05] Speaker B: He's so good. And that's the crazy part too is he's just getting started. [00:18:09] Speaker C: He. I had him on. I had him on on Outside the Round last August. He didn't start playing shows until, like September, so I had him before he was starting to do shows. He hasn't been doing shows for a year yet, and he's about to go be playing arenas about a year into it. [00:18:22] Speaker D: Wow. [00:18:23] Speaker C: Crazy. It's like Bailey stuff, you know, Bailey. Bailey was a very similar trajectory. He's handling it very well, just like Bailey has, you know. [00:18:29] Speaker D: Yeah. [00:18:30] Speaker A: So what do you. What do you contribute that to? I mean, not necessarily just for him, just for some. Some artists grind for, you know, 10 year town, you know, in Nashville. And some just get that lucky relationship, networking, whatever it is. [00:18:42] Speaker B: Here's what I'll tell you. The things that I see that's consistent is the people that absolutely want it the most are the ones that are the most successful. The people that, like, they can't think of anything else. There's. They're just pushing 100% because really what happens is those people that are pushing that hard find people to help them push. And that's really what you see. It's like they find a good team, they find elite management, or they find a good record label, or they find a great booking agent that believes in them. [00:19:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:19:12] Speaker B: You know what I mean? [00:19:13] Speaker A: Always grinding. [00:19:14] Speaker C: It's like an athlete, bro. If you want to be the best baseball player, like you guys have your little guys playing. Like you work at it every day and you find the right hitting coach or the right strength coach or something like that, and you do whatever it takes to be the best that you can be. Those kids, like Nick's talking about those guys and those girls, those are the ones that break through. [00:19:32] Speaker B: The ones that complain about having to do social media usually don't make it. You just got to push through it. You know, it's like anything. It's like whatever you think that you need to do, you need to do it five times more. You know what I mean? And those are the ones that you see in the long run succeeding. Like, I remember we did that Tik Tok video with Josh Ross last year and he was like, yeah, I don't want to do this, but you got to do it. You know, that's how it works. [00:19:56] Speaker D: We got on a TikTok. [00:19:58] Speaker C: He'll do that. [00:19:58] Speaker A: Yeah, you might see my fingers. [00:20:01] Speaker D: That was. He did a promo for Jack Daniels. So we got included in that. [00:20:05] Speaker A: Hell yeah. [00:20:06] Speaker D: Josh is. [00:20:07] Speaker C: He's another. He's another one that gotten the watch from. I remember Nick got to meet him over at Rowdy Rob's house when he first got to town. Nick, I don't even know if you were in town yet. [00:20:16] Speaker B: I just moved. [00:20:17] Speaker C: You just moved? And then I had Josh for the first time summer of 2020 with. He did. He was doing. He was working with Wales Tony, who now manages co. Manages Old 60 Fox and Beat Rob Langdon does content for a bunch of different people. But he introduced I. Watching Josh the last five years has been incredible. You know, he's another. Another guy because he's. He's walling big in Canada. Like. Yeah, he said that if like Edmonton's. I think he's scheduled to play if Edmonton goes game seven. He's going. He has to go to Edmonton and play in Edmonton game seven. So if they win. Yeah, dude, like that's the dream. [00:20:54] Speaker D: He was playing. A bunch of his songs are gonna come out in July. [00:20:57] Speaker C: Oh, dude, he's got heaters. [00:20:59] Speaker D: Then he. Then he played. He played this song that his producer used. AI. Oh yeah. Get his voice. [00:21:07] Speaker C: Oh, Mao. [00:21:07] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. You have to. I. I can't tell you what. All we'll have to listen to ask him. That's funny, that one. [00:21:15] Speaker A: Cuz lyrics are limited, but. [00:21:16] Speaker D: Yeah, lyrics are limited, but was hilarious. I'm like, did you actually cut this song? He goes, no. They used AI to. To make this crazy. But no good people, man. It's been a great time. I mean, let's talk about how much fun you've been having, Nikki. I mean, I've been rare form. [00:21:32] Speaker B: What we call this is vintage Nikki [00:21:33] Speaker C: T. We call that. We call this bowling. [00:21:36] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:21:36] Speaker C: Bowling ball. [00:21:37] Speaker B: Nick, he just rolls me down the hill. [00:21:38] Speaker C: He says, yeah, like in key. Like in Key west. When we used to go to the Key West Songwriters festival, Nick would have like one or two nights in the week that we were down there where it'd be bowling ball. [00:21:46] Speaker B: Well, I remember every year previous to this, you guys said your name is Ray's rowdy and you're not partying. [00:21:51] Speaker D: Right? [00:21:51] Speaker B: So. [00:21:52] Speaker C: And I don't. So I can only get so high and have the vibes. Me being stoned isn't quite the. The vibe. [00:21:59] Speaker D: No, Nick. Nikki turns into like mother hen too, by the way. He gets. He gets going and then he's just walking around going up to people. [00:22:07] Speaker A: You need help. [00:22:08] Speaker D: What's your. [00:22:09] Speaker C: What's your title? [00:22:09] Speaker B: Last night live Concierge. [00:22:11] Speaker C: Vibe Concierge. That's his title I'm hosting. He's vibe concierge. Ike is content. The other kids are selling merch last night. [00:22:18] Speaker D: What's his name? Hardy's photographer. [00:22:20] Speaker C: Tanner. [00:22:21] Speaker D: Tanner. Tanner's trying to run up to the. The center deck security. Who that dude doesn't around because Wayne has said, hey, like these people paid to be up here. Don't let. I don't care who comes up, okay? And Tanner just goes running by him, you know, so the guy doesn't know. And he's a big dude. And Tanner's like, what in the world? Here's Nikki. Hey, hey, hey. [00:22:41] Speaker A: How. [00:22:41] Speaker D: What can. What's going on here? He's a good guy. You gotta let him out there trying to break it up. And he's Bouncing over here. And the other night he's like, like, here you go, here's beer. And I'm like, oh, thanks, Nikki. A few minutes later. Here you go. A few minutes later, he's like, here you go. I'm like, what in the world is happening? [00:23:00] Speaker B: Nick Beer distribution manager, baby. [00:23:02] Speaker C: Yeah, dude, Acquisitions. Oh, my gosh. [00:23:07] Speaker B: It was very, very fun being over here the first night and you had all these beers stacked up on set and I was like, these coolers are looking pretty empty. [00:23:14] Speaker D: I'm just going to put all these beers in. [00:23:16] Speaker C: We need them cold. [00:23:18] Speaker D: We gotta drink these beers. [00:23:20] Speaker A: So speaking of that, shout out to Surfside. [00:23:22] Speaker C: I know they're good friends of your [00:23:23] Speaker A: guys as well, and. And yeah, they do a lot of sponsorships. [00:23:27] Speaker B: It's been cool seeing them get more ingrained in the scene, man. Like, like, again, like, talking about deals that we've seen them do and in sports. They're heavy in sports, bro. [00:23:37] Speaker C: They got their name at Yankee Stadium. [00:23:38] Speaker B: I saw that. [00:23:39] Speaker D: Insane. [00:23:40] Speaker C: That doesn't happen. [00:23:41] Speaker B: They are. The coolest thing about those guys are a. The product's good. Right. But they're also like, the owners are out grinding. [00:23:50] Speaker A: Yep. [00:23:50] Speaker B: Right. Like, here they. Yeah, Matt's here. [00:23:52] Speaker C: They're here. [00:23:52] Speaker B: They're here. Closing. [00:23:53] Speaker D: He's having a great time. [00:23:55] Speaker B: Yeah, dude. [00:23:55] Speaker A: Head of HRs here. Content creators Eddie. [00:23:58] Speaker C: Shout out to Eddie. [00:24:00] Speaker D: Eddie was. [00:24:01] Speaker C: Eddie was hanging with Unk at the merch tent last night. We were. When it was raining, we all ran over to the merch tent. We had the. We had the bat down the hatches so people weren't running in there. And we all watched the Hardy show from there. And then Matt and. And Eddie showed up and had a party. They had their stateside vodka with them and we was awesome. [00:24:17] Speaker D: Yeah, Eddie. Eddie's been putting out fires here when it comes to party scene. Giving everybody surfside. I think I saw a non surfside brand sitting on the table. [00:24:27] Speaker B: I just threw them out. [00:24:28] Speaker D: One of the kids opened it. Somebody opened it, walked away. He just looks down and goes, dumps it out. [00:24:38] Speaker B: Last night, St Bought like, we won't even say the name of the other brand. I just threw him out of his cooler. [00:24:48] Speaker D: They're selling like crazy. They get a whole other paladin. [00:24:51] Speaker C: I was going to say they sold out. They've been. They've been keeping up with the corn water. [00:24:54] Speaker D: The. [00:24:55] Speaker C: The beer you guys like to drink out here. They've been selling as much of the corn water beer, but it's neck and neck right now. [00:25:01] Speaker D: The lemonade Is neck and neck with crazy. [00:25:03] Speaker C: Which is nuts to do that in Illinois, like where Bush Light is water. Like kids drinking out of the womb here. It's crazy. [00:25:11] Speaker B: It is. It's nuts. It's good product and good people, man. And that's all I can really ask for. [00:25:16] Speaker C: Matt's been incredibly gracious to us and we've gotten to go up and see their headquarters and he's come that comes down to Nashville a few times a year, as often as he can. And his wife's great, his little guy pen's great. Like, we love those guys. [00:25:28] Speaker D: We're make our way out there here after festival season. Yeah, but he's so Surfside has been just going around like crazy. Everybody loves it. Nothing fancy. Jackson's been boys. [00:25:41] Speaker C: Oh, dude, we love Jackson and Andre. [00:25:43] Speaker D: They've been having fun and. [00:25:44] Speaker C: And it's funny too. Harry Tyler, who's doing content for them, is awesome. And his older sister Grace, she's part of that young crop of female artists that's coming up. His sister Grace is incredible, incredible artists. And I didn't even know that. That he was her brother until last week. [00:26:01] Speaker B: Last week. [00:26:01] Speaker D: And then we have White Oak. White Oak's been out here. They got a. [00:26:04] Speaker B: Can I try that, Bullet? [00:26:07] Speaker D: You try mine? [00:26:08] Speaker B: Yeah, I just want a little. [00:26:09] Speaker C: He's giving you enough beers, Bullet. [00:26:12] Speaker D: White Oak has a blessings, but White Oak is right here in Bloomington. They've been amazing keeping things stocked. So, you know, they've been our beer. We've got Surfside. Yeah, it's been, it's. It's been cool to see all the partners and all the different sponsors and [00:26:26] Speaker C: that's what you guys do so well as a festival. Just to give you guys some kudos and give you guys your flowers. The whole team, like the guys and girls that are even over here, you guys do like. It's a community thing. It's like a bunch of friends doing something really cool for the community here in Illinois. Whether. Whether it's the kids in the merch tent selling, whether it's the kids helping out with security, it's all the, all the security, all the security folks. And it's like the content people. And it just feels like family here, man. You guys have built such an incredible culture and it's so cool to see it just elevate. Elevated this year. [00:26:56] Speaker A: We. [00:26:56] Speaker D: We. I called him up, woke him up out of bed, said, hey, we got to go pick up trash this morning. [00:27:00] Speaker C: Yeah. And you know what? You know what? They went and did it because you're Their brother and you would do the same for them. And that's what you guys have here with tailgate and tall boys. That's what's special. [00:27:07] Speaker A: Un. [00:27:08] Speaker C: Sitting over there smiling. I like your purple boots. I like your purple boots. [00:27:11] Speaker D: What? By the way, what's the comments from Peter Gary. [00:27:15] Speaker C: Unc over there does it. And I know. I know you guys don't think it's. [00:27:19] Speaker D: Don't make his head any bigger than it already is. [00:27:22] Speaker C: Do a great job. He reminds me of Billy Bob Thornton from the Bad News Bears. And he's the little league coach of all the kids in the merch tent. And he's just. It's. It's one of the most fun things that Nick and I have talked about since we started coming here with you guys. Is that how fun everybody has? Just selling the merch? [00:27:38] Speaker D: Yeah. You know, slinging cotton. [00:27:39] Speaker B: Yeah, man. That's the thing. It's like, if you're doing work with your friends and you're having a good time doing it, it's not really. [00:27:47] Speaker A: Does it work. [00:27:47] Speaker C: And the community loves it. Look at all these people out here still camping. They got rained on. Their tents are wet, they're muddy. They're. I mean, everything like that. And they're still here, and they're having a great time. [00:27:56] Speaker A: Jason. [00:27:56] Speaker D: Jason comes here and he just get all of the. Next thing I know, I call him and he's like, I'm wiring a generator and they've got to do electrical work. Yeah. Unc's over here selling merch. Hamilton thinks he runs Diamond Deck, but his wife really does it. The boss, the boys. The boy, he's got work boots on that I don't even know what those are for. The boys are selling stuff. And then Ramos used to be a big help, and now I'm not sure what he's got going on. I don't know what his actual title. [00:28:24] Speaker C: Concierge. [00:28:26] Speaker D: Well, he's my stunt double for when I'm trying to get the cameras all squared away. But he wasn't here for this one, so the camera's probably not set right. [00:28:33] Speaker A: A solution provider. Provider of solutions. [00:28:35] Speaker D: What exactly would you say you do here in Attack? [00:28:40] Speaker C: He has. He has a good time. It helps you when you need it. [00:28:42] Speaker D: Yep, he is. No. What's crazy is they all get pulled to doing seven. They could easily look at me and be like, dude, no, they. They run and help, and we get everybody involved. Luke. My boys putting up fence the other day. So cool. [00:28:57] Speaker C: Cliffy D is out here cutting grass. [00:28:58] Speaker A: Yeah, he's on a site or. [00:29:03] Speaker C: Oh he's, he does apparently he's been doing that the past few years. You know him and Ray get on the him and O r get on the mowers and they're smoking, smoking their way setting it off through the field man. [00:29:14] Speaker D: Well dude we appreciate you guys being here. We love you guys. We love you guys and cheers to another successful year guys. [00:29:21] Speaker C: Yeah man we love being, we love being in the family. Seriously Nick I think coined it Midwest biggest party like we seriously they coined it biggest party. [00:29:30] Speaker B: It is man. We're thankful to be here and be part of it. [00:29:32] Speaker D: Look forward to it hopefully. [00:29:33] Speaker B: Can't wait to set it off again tonight. [00:29:34] Speaker D: Let's go two more nights right now. [00:29:36] Speaker A: Two more nights. [00:29:37] Speaker D: Luckily this is going to get put out later after so yeah I'm ready to go right now. [00:29:42] Speaker B: Godspeed Sodors. [00:29:44] Speaker D: Godspeed. It.
