By day, Ryan, a disabled veteran, is also a dynamic government executive known for his innovative leadership and commitment to community service. With over 25 years in public service, he has successfully implemented numerous initiatives aimed at improving public engagement and fostering sustainable workforce development solutions. His strategic vision has not only enhanced governmental efficiency but has also built stronger connections between all levels of government and the communities he serves. Beyond his professional life, Ryan, known to many as "Thompy" is an aspiring podcaster, co-hosting "Tailgate Beers", promoting Tailgate n' Tallboys music festivals as well as artists playing at Crusens, a local venue in Central Illinois that features interviews with organizers, artists, and attendees. As a devoted husband and father, Ryan values family above all. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchild--instilling in them the importance of compassion and hard work. His family outings often include music festivals, reflecting his passion for music. An enthusiastic music lover, he believes in the power of music to unite people and enrich lives and has often used music to heal unseen wounds. In addition to his professional and familial commitments, Ryan dedicates time to coaching youth sports. He enjoys mentoring young athletes, emphasizing effort, attitude, and having a short memory—qualities that serve them well both on and off the field.
