Listen up, keep those airwaves open because we're about to tell you who's going to be at tailgate and tall boys. [00:00:36] Speaker A: Yes, we are. [00:00:37] Speaker B: So let's, let's start out Clinton, Iowa, tailgate and tall boys of 20, 25. And we're looking at Thursday, June 5th. What do you got? [00:00:49] Speaker A: We got Whiskey Myers, Wyatt, Floors, Baker Blankenship and Joe Stan Band on that Thursday. [00:00:54] Speaker B: That's gonna be a. That's a hell of a. Hell of a Thursday night right there in Clinton, Iowa, which happens to be my, My favorite, I think. Vinya, I don't want to be controversial, but I think Clinton, Iowa is my favorite. [00:01:05] Speaker A: No, 100%. Just that riverfront setting is very, very clean. Great city. Got the train running right through there, you know, beautiful sunset night. [00:01:15] Speaker B: So that's Thursday. [00:01:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:01:16] Speaker B: So we still got two days left of artists coming through. So Friday, what do we got? [00:01:20] Speaker A: Friday we've got Riley Green, ella Langley Old 60, and Preston Cooper. [00:01:24] Speaker B: Riley Green, Ella Langley. Ella was just here not too long ago here at Cruisins in West Peoria, Illinois. Obviously they've got a big hit together. [00:01:32] Speaker A: Yes. [00:01:33] Speaker B: Looking forward. [00:01:33] Speaker A: They are taking the world by storm. [00:01:35] Speaker B: Do you think they'll look them out and play that together on that Friday night? [00:01:39] Speaker A: One can only hope so. [00:01:40] Speaker B: I would think, you know, if they're gonna be backing up to each other. [00:01:43] Speaker A: I would, I would hope one would think so, but you never know what they do. I mean, dude, we've seen him bring out four artists at one time, you know, and play together. We've seen people, we've. We've seen people stay for three days of the festival. That's Cooper, Allen, Bailey, Zimmerman. You pretty much can't get him to leave. [00:01:59] Speaker B: And you gotta think about the time because right now, I mean, this is. We're. We're almost in December. By the time this gets released, it's December. And I mean, we're talking about June time frame, so they might be onto something new by then. [00:02:11] Speaker A: Yeah, I thought there was rumors that they were coming out with a. Another song together, but I hope so. [00:02:16] Speaker B: I hope so. [00:02:16] Speaker A: I think the world hopes so. [00:02:18] Speaker B: I don't know if you saw this, but they, they showed up to losers Midtown. Oh, yeah. After the CMA festival, I started seeing my, the awards. [00:02:27] Speaker A: Yeah, I saw. It was like the same night Peyton Manning. [00:02:29] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. [00:02:29] Speaker A: All them showed up just to be. [00:02:31] Speaker B: There in that crowd that night. Goodness. [00:02:32] Speaker A: God, that was wild. [00:02:33] Speaker B: So then we have. So that's Thursday, Friday, Saturday. So we still have a full day of. Of Saturday. What's going on Saturday? [00:02:39] Speaker A: We got Jason, Al, Gavin, Adcock, Lily Rose, my boy Dylan Schneider, our guy, Graham Barham. [00:02:47] Speaker B: Yes. [00:02:47] Speaker A: Five artists on Saturday. [00:02:49] Speaker B: So we're doing five. [00:02:50] Speaker A: We're doing a fiver. Grand Bar is going to kick Saturday off back Friday. Grand Bar is going to kick off Saturday. [00:02:56] Speaker B: Like you've never seen Graham Barham as. We were just in Nashville a few weeks ago and he had his, his, his Opry debut while we were down there. He's released his newest song since then as well. Goodness. [00:03:08] Speaker A: And the crazy part is we're having this conversation sitting in December. You know, everybody's been waiting for this lineup. [00:03:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:14] Speaker A: And I know it's been killing everybody. It's been killing us. You guys have no idea what goes into this. But here we are and there's still six months to go. [00:03:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:27] Speaker A: Of music to be dropped, things, you know, things to come out. Who knows? I mean, every one of these artists, I wouldn't even, I don't even know who to say is my, like sleeper if I'm going to categorize one. Because I always say there's artists that come out, that you put them on the festival as this, you know, three slot. But by the time June comes, they are skyrocketing. Hosted by Raised Rowdy all three days, DJ Cliffy D. It's gonna be, it's gonna be an amazing time. And just looking at this lineup. Whiskey Myers with that Southern rock. They have that crazy following. Definitely a very different genre to Riley Green and Jason Aldean. [00:04:17] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:04:18] Speaker A: I think all of us would pair Jason Aldean and Riley Green as a same era type country music, although different age demographics. [00:04:29] Speaker B: True. [00:04:30] Speaker A: My age. We talked about this. You know, Jason Aldean's first album in 2005. I mean, I'm a sophomore, junior in high school. You know, Riley Green's first album, you know, there's people right now that you're looking at that are high school, college level, you know, listening to that type of stuff. But at our festival, if any, you know, everybody's come. I mean, we had Shinedown, Jelly Roll, Bailey Zimmerman. We're always trying to mix that genre. You know, from Tim McGraw to Mitchell Tenpenny to Jelly Roll So again, the same type of thing, just, you know, a little less rock. But I mean, Whiskey Myers is. [00:05:08] Speaker B: Oh, goodness. One of my favorite. Stone is one of my favorite songs of all time. And I cannot wait to be out there in the crowd and listen to them play. [00:05:18] Speaker A: Yeah. And they're another band similar to a Shinedown that I think people don't realize how many different songs haven't been around as long again, I think putting out music since 2008, I mean, it's still knocking on 20 years. They're another band that I do think people that are in any sort of country or rock, you know, listening habit are like, oh, yeah, gosh, I love that. Oh, yeah. They sing that song. Yeah. [00:05:45] Speaker B: So then you go to Even, like the openers we talked about the big headliners, Whiskey Myers and Riley, Ella Even and Jason Aldean. But then you go to, you know, the Wyatt Flores's and the Baker Blankenships, even, you know, Joe Stam, who is a local boy that you know personally. Camp counselor. [00:06:06] Speaker A: I was in sixth grade. [00:06:07] Speaker B: So, I mean, even those openers, I mean, those. Those are not sleepers. Those are people who have been grinding. And Baker, I'm sure you've seen on TikTok and other platforms that way too, that you've got to know him a little bit. He's all over the place. [00:06:24] Speaker A: Like I said, big up and comers. I mean, Preston Cooper is one that as of right now, as we sit here, does not even have a Spotify. And I know there might be some people like, what in the world? But when you go look him up on socials, on TikTok and things like that, he is somebody that we're saying is gonna be somebody. [00:06:44] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:44] Speaker A: At some point. And old 60. [00:06:46] Speaker C: Yes. [00:06:47] Speaker A: I mean, old 60s, climbing fast up the charts of everybody's. I mean, we met, we talked to them down at Nashville. And that's somebody that is a major up and comer that people need to be listening to. If you haven't heard them, go check them out. We're gonna be playing some of their songs through all these, you know, conversations that we have. So. [00:07:08] Speaker B: And then we got Lily. I mean, Lily's a good friend of Tailgate Beers, a Tailgate Tall Boy alum. Absolutely. She's family. And so she'll be there on Saturday with Jason and Gavin Adcock and Dylan Schneider. We talked about Dylan. So our memories. My memories of Dylan. [00:07:27] Speaker A: That was your first. [00:07:28] Speaker B: That was my first Tailgate and Tallboys a couple years ago, two or three years ago now. And he joined Us out and played some beer darts with us. My younger daughter, who's 13 now, just was infatuated with him and. And you know, had a sign for him and he took pictures with her and all kinds of fun stuff. [00:07:49] Speaker A: So Lakeview us and Dylan Schneider all went and played beard Arts. We played beer dye. [00:07:56] Speaker B: Oh, just a good time. Just going out in the campground, which I'm sure that we'll have some folks that will get out in the campground and be able to go out there and party with us as well. [00:08:06] Speaker A: So this will be his first time in Clinton. Yeah, which I mean, he's going to come out and bring it no matter what time, no matter what stage where he's at. And I think, I think, yeah, he's going to be somebody that I think Clinton needs to pay attention to. Got a lot of new music coming out. I mean, Gavin Adcock, I mean, if you haven't heard of him, I don't know what planet you're living on. But played here. Took our leg lamp from this office. Gone. He is, he's probably the like the biggest one. I say, like the one to watch because his performance is rowdy, it's electric, he is engaging and he has a following of fans that are just. Are just beer drinking. [00:08:56] Speaker B: Oh, goodness. I mean, I think we probably all have seen the videos online, you know, of smashing tables and throwing beer cans and just being rowdy and different venues across the country. So I. Yeah, no, definitely looking forward to seeing him. [00:09:11] Speaker A: Yeah, it's gonna be a good mix up, I think, you know, for me, going back to even the headliners, you know, having Jason Aldean, you know, on the stage, something really cool for me because going from high school age, definitely a fan. Burned those first three CDs, like burned a hole through my CD player with those things. To now having him on our festival, I mean, that's something really cool. Last year, kind of checking off Eric Church on the list. And that's cool. Riley has been on the festival multiple times in Bloomington, has never been in Clinton, Iowa. Love having him back. Every year has gotten better and better. And what's nuts is to think that we've had him for the past couple years and just right now he's really starting to climb. Oh, goodness. Yeah, the charts climb. You know, getting people's attention, getting this recognition there's well deserved. Yeah. You know, he's a big. [00:10:11] Speaker B: He's a big duck hunter too. [00:10:12] Speaker A: Big duck hunter. [00:10:13] Speaker B: Austin and I enjoy our time out in the duck blinds. So, yes, we definitely have that in common with Riley, Jason's kind of a surreal moment for me because I'm more of that time frame when Jason was doing, you know, flyover States. And, you know, that Midwest, which I think is just, you know, it just matches perfectly with what Tailgate and Tall Boys is. It's kind of out in the middle of Clinton, Iowa, Bloomington, Illinois, of Midland, Michigan, and those Midwest states that, you know, sometimes get overlooked. But at the same time, I mean, we have an opportunity to bring it. [00:10:53] Speaker A: Certainly, no pun intended. Overlooked with Flyover States. [00:10:56] Speaker B: There you go. [00:10:57] Speaker A: Would you say that's your favorite Aldean song? [00:10:59] Speaker B: I don't know if it's my favorite. I mean, certainly the truth is up there, too, that, you know, we were playing some of the stuff before we jumped on the podcast tonight, and that is one that certainly resonates with me. But I think overall, yeah, that Dirt Road Anthem, I think, is another one that just, you know, I'm thinking of Tailgate and Tall Boys and my experiences there that, you know, we're. We're again in Clinton, Iowa, or Bloomington, Illinois. And I mean, just that. That Midwest type of vibe that I think Jason certainly brings to. To the table. [00:11:37] Speaker A: Big Green Tractor became a number one ringtone in all genres in 2009. [00:11:43] Speaker B: So 2000. [00:11:44] Speaker A: Download your ringtone ringtones. Okay. And making it the first country song to do so. Logging 1 million downloads just for ringtones. [00:11:53] Speaker B: So. So I just went. My wife and I, Brenna, just went to Nashville a couple weeks ago, and we went to Jason Aldean's bar there in Nashville, and he's got a big green tractor right in the middle of the bar. Like, it's actually a big John Deere tractor right in the middle. And we sat right at the edge of the bar and had some wings and some sliders. But it was cool just because that big green tractor was right there. I mean, that. That was kind of the middle of everything. [00:12:23] Speaker A: I have only been in his bar twice. It's the Three Stories. It is Three Stories or something like that. [00:12:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:30] Speaker B: I think we went to the Second Story or something like that big bar there. Got a stage up front. We had some live music going on. [00:12:36] Speaker A: My favorite. And we'll cut to all these songs and do demos of them and stuff, but is the Truth. And then Asphalt Cowboy. I mean, I love. I love that song. But those are. Those are some older ones. But, I mean, he's a showman performer. Gets out there, you know, became very outspoken and gotta love him for it. I've never seen Whiskey Myers So this will be my first time getting to see Whiskey Myers have multiple people that love whiskey. No, I take that back. I'm very wrong. We've had Whiskey Myers in Taylorville years ago, actually. [00:13:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I just seen that on your. [00:13:16] Speaker A: Poster in your office earlier today. So we can either crop that out or I guess just leave my own ignorance. But I can say that's been, that's been three. Three years ago. Yeah, I definitely didn't appreciate, you know, what I was getting to see in that moment. But I know that year had Jelly Roll, had Granger Smith, had Whiskey Myers. I mean, I think we had Ernest there. We had a whole long list of different people that year. But yeah, man. Excited to have it, everybody. Right now. Tickets are out. Tailgate and tallboys.com follow us. Follow Tailgate and Tallboys. Clinton, Iowa, for all the latest information, us personally here. Throughout the course of this festival, we'll be going over where to get camping. Details on camping, parking, exclusive giveaways, maybe some meet and greets. We've got sponsorship conversations. We'll have artist interviews leading up to the event, artist interviews at the event. So, I mean, for me, man, I'm pumped to see where this goes with being able to explain to people and even get their feedback. We've talked about going over frequently asked questions, questions people are asking, really trying to help be the voice of the people. [00:14:33] Speaker B: So one of my favorite things about Clinton, Iowa is that we're downtown, right. We're in the middle of Clinton, Iowa. [00:14:41] Speaker A: Right. [00:14:41] Speaker B: It's not like, you know, in Bloomington, Illinois. I love it. It's out in the middle of nowhere. Clinton, Iowa, we're downtown. Last year, drove the golf cart over to the after party. [00:14:52] Speaker A: Allegedly. [00:14:53] Speaker B: Allegedly. We won't talk about it out loud, but drove the, drove, possibly drove the golf cart. [00:14:59] Speaker A: May or may not have drove to. [00:15:01] Speaker B: The, to the after party at the bar in town, like on the main drag of Clinton, Iowa. [00:15:08] Speaker A: And am I driving this thing? [00:15:10] Speaker B: No, no, no. I. [00:15:11] Speaker A: Okay, yeah. All right. So I was not part, I was not part of this. DJ D is there. [00:15:17] Speaker B: I mean, he's, he's, you know, dropping some beats over there at the afterparty. That's the nice thing about Clinton is that it's got, it's kind of a, you know, I want to say family and. But it's, it's kind of like that small town vibe of. Right there next to the water. You're at a big park in the middle of Clinton, Iowa. [00:15:35] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. And just. It's clean. It is very clean. When it comes to a festival setting, as we know in Bloomington and other places. I mean, Bloomington still a very nice setting, but very dusty. Oh, yeah, it can be very dusty when it's dry. I mean, Clinton is just so clean, smooth getting around Great Grass park that it sits in this year. We'll have another pre party at Wild Rose the Wednesday before. We've got several different things that we met with them and talked about the days of possibly some artists being at Wild Rose, you know, the days of before the events, so fans could go there, hang out, talking about having camping on site at Wild Rose. [00:16:30] Speaker B: They're in Clinton, so the campground. So I did a little bit of work there. They're kind of spread out in different areas and they've got a bunch of different camp spots or camp areas. And I know the one that's kind of attached to the park there was kind of a larger one too. Any insight right now that you have on camping there in Clinton, Iowa? [00:16:53] Speaker A: Camping is going to remain exactly the same. Other than Hawthorne park changes, that is going to pretty much be tent camping. I believe Lincoln Way camping is going to expand tremendously. [00:17:06] Speaker B: Okay. [00:17:07] Speaker A: And then Wild Rose, Wild Rose camping is going to be a lot. Quite a few spots on site at Wild Rose. They're talking about doing, you know, brunches possibly. [00:17:16] Speaker B: There you go. [00:17:18] Speaker A: That's all still kind of being ironed out, but when that goes on sale. [00:17:22] Speaker B: And I assumed Wild Rose, you go there and it's basically a 247 operation. [00:17:27] Speaker A: Yeah. So you're, I think during our, during our festival, they stay open till 2am okay. [00:17:32] Speaker B: So, yeah. [00:17:32] Speaker A: Clinton, Iowa dates June 5th through the 7th. [00:17:36] Speaker B: June 5th through the 7th, 2025 lineup just got announced. And you, you now know who you're going to be able to go see in Clinton, Iowa. We, we, we want you to go out when tickets go on sale. [00:17:49] Speaker A: Austin tickets should be on sale. And again, this is all hypothetical. December 13th, Friday, December 13th. You could be watching this and it might be before anything's even been announced. Again, we have to kind of see when this gets dropped. But if you're watching this right now and it's not December 13th, they should be on sale Friday the 13th. [00:18:12] Speaker B: Friday the 13th. What a good day that is. There you go. And then also, I mean, just for ideas, I mean, Christmas is coming up, correct? I mean, I assume some of the thought process between the timing of all of this is, you know, a lot of UTL gators out there that you want to get a Christmas present of a nice VIP pass You know, I. [00:18:32] Speaker A: Will say one thing about this year is. And we, I just, I can't stress it enough, buy your tickets early for the cheapest price, period. This is a capacity thing and it's something that really, we should cover on a podcast because just like an arena, okay, you have X number of seats, there's 15,000 seats. Upper tier is X amount of dollars. Mid bowl, it goes up a little bit lower, bowl up a little bit more. This is a capacity driven thing. Ours is the same way. We have X amount of tickets that are available to buy for, you know, the cheapest price. When that sells out, tickets are going up to the next price. Because with our setting and Ryan, you've been there and for any of you that have been, there is no seating chart. [00:19:27] Speaker B: Right? [00:19:28] Speaker A: Okay. It's a first come, first serve. So imagine if we did sell the first section of GA is this price and then the next section. That's essentially what we're doing is you're getting your tickets at the cheapest price. So right now is the cheapest time to buy. Again, we'll be sharing in our socials when those capacities are almost full. But always buying early to get that cheapest price and to save yourself some. [00:19:56] Speaker B: Money, might as well go all three days just because of the, the great lineup we've got. I mean, you, you want to see. [00:20:04] Speaker A: All three days again when you break it down per artist. So for VIP, it's 38 bucks. 38 bucks an artist, and for GA11, $11.50 an artist. [00:20:15] Speaker B: So, so for $38 per artist, add all of that up, some small snacks or whatever else is available there, plus your, your own little entrance and, you know, section that you get to. I mean, you can't beat that. No, you can't beat that. [00:20:31] Speaker A: And it's spaced out. Granted, up by the stage is always going to be, is always going to be tighter. I mean, that's how it's always going to be. Even in vip, you still have. And we, you know, you stood over there, you know, last year, but you comfortably. You're ten people back. [00:20:45] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:20:46] Speaker A: And your, your elbow room. [00:20:47] Speaker B: Absolutely. [00:20:48] Speaker A: Yeah. So, I mean, 38 bucks. If you look at any of these artists and you look at the tours that are going on and the prices that are going on, we do our best to stay competitive in the market to try to cover our costs of these artists and all the other expenses that go into putting this on. We don't skimp out on stage or sound or any of the other things that go in at the end of the day, it's pretty inexpensive when you compare it to going and seeing any other show. Yeah, the tickets are going to be available. Camping will be on sale at. On sale. You'll be able to get add ons like get out of Porta Potty to your campsite. [00:21:23] Speaker B: That's what you need right there. [00:21:24] Speaker A: You can do, you know, we'll have merchandise available. Wi Fi is available at the festival. Yeah, a number of things. So it's definitely going to be a good year. This is our third year in Clinton. I feel like it's going to be the most exciting. We've had Jelly Roll two years in a row. I think he was so electric the first year and everybody loved it so much. It was hard. Plus, he promised the whole damn city, I'm coming back next year. But we all, you know, Bailey's. Bailey's going to be in Bloomington, I think his third straight year. [00:21:59] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:22:00] Speaker A: But it's kind of a hometown show. He asked us to do it. We like to keep mixing it up. We want to keep throwing variety out there. That's part of a festival. And so, yeah, I hope everybody enjoys this, this lineup again. Let us, let us know what you think. And again, following us is going to be something where we can keep bringing you guys this information. What's going on in these questions? Because there are. We're not perfect. We have mistakes, but we hear a lot. You've lived it. I have not personally lived it, but I definitely have lived in the trenches of dealing with it. We want to make sure we give everybody the most useful information leading up to the festival. [00:22:41] Speaker B: So Tailgate Tall Boys, Clinton, Iowa. If you're even thinking about going to the festival in 2025, make sure you're following us. Austin Ryan here at Tailgate Beers, Tailgate and Tallboys, the Facebook page, their Snapchat, Instagram, all of the different platforms out there. Go check them out. Follow us. We will try to provide. That's part of our intent of the podcast itself, is try to provide as much information as we can, whether it's about camping, whether it's about, you know, different levels of passes, whether it's about special events that are happening or giveaways or anything along those lines. Our intent is to provide and do whatever we can to get that information to you. So make sure you're following us however you can. So with that, Clinton, Iowa, we are excited to announce who's coming for tailgate and Tallboys 2025, June 5th through the 7th. [00:23:42] Speaker A: And stay tuned for more and let's go. [00:23:45] Speaker B: We'll see you out there.
